21st Century Storyboards

 

Darren Vandenburg is an animation Storyboard Artist who works from his home in Randalstown, Co. Antrim.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The backbone of his studio set-up consists of a 13 inch MacBook, Adobe Photoshop, a 21 inch Wacom Cintiq tablet and a broadband connection. Detailed model sheets are used for reference.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Adobe Photoshop software lets him work in levels of rough and clean drawings. Dedicated controls allow him to zoom-in and scroll the image at will.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He draws directly on its 21″ pressure sensitive screen using a stylus. The screen rotates and angles like a traditional animation light table.
